The Sony Xperia 5 V unveiled earlier this month recently went on sale in Europe, but there were questions about its availability in the United States. Well, Sony has confirmed that the Xperia 5 V won’t be coming to the US, at least not this year.
In a statement to Android PoliceSony said it “won’t do that [be] bringing the Xperia 5 V to the North American market this year. We want to focus on our flagship Xperia 1 V.” This statement leaves room for interpretation as it suggests that the Xperia 5 V could still arrive in the US in 2024.
If that were the case, it would be quite late for Sony to start selling the Xperia 5 V in the US as the competition may have already launched their latest flagships, likely powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
