The nubia Red Magic 9 Pro was launched last month in China and today the brand has brought the device to overseas markets. The smartphone has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a unique design – it is flat on all sides – with no curved screens or camera bumps and the aluminum sides are also flat.
The latest Qualcomm chipset is paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while storage options in the overall unit are 256GB or 512GB. There is also a cooling system with over 10,000 sq mm of total surface area to maintain the temperature.
The Red Magic 9 Pro also has an air duct, which is larger than its predecessors, and the fan is faster: it can reach up to 22,000 rpm.
The Red Magic 9 Pro has a 50MP main camera, paired with a 50MP ultrawide shooter and a basic 2MP macro lens.
The phone’s gaming focus continues with pressure-sensitive triggers and a dedicated slide control to activate the RedMagic 9 OS (based on Android 14) gaming mode. The 6,500 mAh battery features 80W wired charging.
