The Motorola Edge 40 Pro was spotted in the Geekbench database last week and now the device has appeared on the Google Play console. It will be a flagship smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 12GB of RAM and a 1080p screen.

These bits suggest that Motorola will bring the Edge 40 Pro as a global version of the already official Moto X40 in China.

The stock wallpaper on the device even looks the same as the official images from Motorola’s website, and we can see the 2.5D curved sides and centered hole – all features seen on the X40.

The Google Play Console listing confirms that the Edge 40 Pro will support Google services; after all, that’s why it appears there. It will also run Android 13 out of the box. Now we will have to wait for an update from Motorola that gives us a potential launch window.
