Leak: Moto G13 is a slightly downgraded G23, Moto E13 with Android Go also emerges

Recent leaks have revealed Motorola’s upcoming mid-range and entry-level phones – we saw the Moto G53 and G73 a few days ago, then the Moto G23 yesterday. Before that there were images of the G13 and E13, but now we have more images and quite detailed specs for the two phones thanks to leakster Sudhanshu Ambhore.

The Moto G13 and G23 look basically the same

The Motorola Moto G13 appears to be nearly identical to the G23. The two certainly look identical, but the devil is in the details. The G13 will have a 2MP depth camera while the G23 has a 5MP ultra wide camera. Also, the resolution of the selfie camera drops in half to 8MP. And fast charging for the 5,000mAh battery is bumped back to 20W (from 30W).

Aside from these details, the two phones share most of their specs: a 6.5-inch IPS LCD with 720 x 1,600 px (20:9) resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Panda Glass. The primary camera on the back of both phones is a 50MP unit.

The two phones are powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 and will run Android 13. Nothing is known about the memory configuration for the Moto G13, but the G23 is expected to have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Other details include an IP52 rating, a USB-C port, 3.5mm jack and stereo speakers.

Leak: Moto G13 and Moto G23 specs

Moving on to the Motorola Moto E13, this is a low-end take on the G13. This means a 6.52″ HD+ resolution LCD and a Unisoc Tiger T606 chipset (similar configuration of 2x Cortex-A75 and 6x A55 CPUs albeit at lower clock speeds and a slower Mali-G57 GPU). The E13 will run Android 13 Go Edition.

The battery has the same capacity, 5,000mAh, but the charging speed still drops to 10W (via USB-C). There’s also a basic 13MP camera, as well as a microSD slot for extra storage.

The Moto E13 should cost €100-120 in a 2/64GB configuration. We don’t know the price of the Moto G13 yet, but since the very similar G23 will presumably cost €200, the G13 should be slightly less.
