Users across Europe report that the third Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta software is now rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S22 devices powered by Exynos. The same update is expected to hit other markets by the end of this week.
The update itself focuses more on fixing software problems and bugs. For example, the new update improves the splash screen return animation and overlapping elements when closing folders. Also, you can now normally quit apps when multiple apps are running on the lock screen, as some apps previously refused to close. The annoying transparency bug of the Calendar widget has also been fixed.
Change log screens
As for features, the new firmware offers a new slideshow-style story feature in the default Gallery app, and there’s a small change in the wallpaper selection screen. There is also the option to change the wallpaper directly from the lock screen by holding your finger on an empty space.
