Infinix has been building its name in the smartphone market over the past few years, and design is a key element in the brand’s rise. The latest development from smartphone brand Transsion Holdings is called 3D Lighting Leather technology and combines colored LED lights with translucent thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) leather on the edges of the back cover.
The new development features a four-layer structure consisting of an LED Light Guide Film (LFG) base layer at the bottom, covered with light-resistant paint to improve its transmission. The middle is made of clear fiberglass which allows the LEDs to shine through the translucent TPU skin. Infinix plans to use the new 3D Lighting Leather technology along with sound effects for dynamic notifications and alerts for various apps.
3D Lighting Leather will debut on an exclusive special edition Infinix Note 30 VIP model later this month.
