Huawei’s latest flagship smartwatches have arrived and offer top-notch build quality, enough health and activity monitoring capabilities to satisfy even the most demanding users, and fair pricing. We have both the 46mm titanium GT 3 Pro and the smaller 43mm ceramic unit, so let’s take a quick look at their main features.

Huawei Watch GT 3 Pro under review

As is normal with Huawei’s GT series watches, the build quality is excellent and you notice it immediately as soon as you unpack them. The 46mm GT 3 Pro’s titanium body and strap and sapphire crystal screen are solid, premium, and reassuring. This is a large watch that weighs 55 grams and can look a little odd on people with smaller wrists. The 1.43-inch round AMOLED screen is large enough for most use cases, although we can’t help but mention the thick surrounding bezel.

The nanocrystalline ceramic body and the 43mm model strap are quite impressive and feel comfortable and solid on the wrist. The 1.32-inch AMOLED here is also covered with sapphire crystal and you get a gold accent surrounding the dial and crown element.

People with smaller wrists will appreciate the more compact form factor even though the white and gold colors don’t suit all styles. Both GT 3 Pro watches are equipped with butterfly lock mechanisms and come with spare links in the box.

The 46mm GT 3 Pro is a great watch.

Navigating the watches is primarily via the touchscreen, although the crown element and the side button can also be used. HarmonyOS 2.0 covers the software side and works flawlessly by supporting third party apps. Health monitoring promises the usual mix of heart rate and blood oxygen measurements along with sleep and stress measurements. The most imaginative include ECG (not available in our market) and arterial stiffness detection, as well as body temperature measurement.

Both Watch GT 3 Pro devices have built-in microphones and speakers for answering calls. Other noteworthy features include NFC (again market dependent), dual-band GPS, and dive-proof rating that should reassure even the most adventurous types. The Watch GT 3 Pro 46mm has a battery life of two weeks with normal use, while the smaller 43mm gets an estimate of seven days. We’ll make sure to test those claims alongside all the other key features in our full review.
