Huawei is preparing to launch Mate 70 devices in September, industry insiders have revealed. The aim is for the launch to coincide with the announcement of the iPhone 16 and the flagships are expected to be in direct competition, at least in China.
The information comes at the same time as another report that Huawei has sold 30 million units of the Mate 60 devices since they arrived unannounced in August 2023.

Numerous reports have revealed that Huawei is gaining ground in its home market. Since Google services are banned in China, HarmonyOS phones that don’t have them aren’t at a disadvantage.
The Mate 70 is said to bring a 1″ camera sensor and a better front panel with smoother and thinner bezels.
