Previously, popularizer Digital chat station detailed three Honor 80 models: vanilla, Pro and Pro + with Dimensity 1080, Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The latter was supposed to have a 200MP camera.

Now the leaker reports new details: the Honor 80 Pro + may actually have a 160MP camera. Allegedly, a Pro + prototype actually had a 200MP sensor, but it seems the company has changed its mind. There is still a chance that Honor will come back.

There’s more: the Pro + will have two 50MP cameras in the front, second DCS, citing the recently announced Sony IMX890 sensor. This 1 / 1.56 “has a resolution of 50.3 MP (with a Quad Bayer filter) and is a successor to the popular IMX766. It is not entirely clear whether the IMX890 is intended for the front camera module rather than one of the rear modules.

Anyway, the Pro + will presumably have a 1.5K display (horizontal resolution of around 1,200px) with a high-frequency PWM. In addition, its battery will charge at 100W, like the previous model.

We do not yet know the reveal date for the Honor 80 series. The company will launch its next flagship series, Magic5, on November 23 (in two weeks). The 80 series is expected to have a separate launch event later, however it is expected to be released before the end of the year.
