Late last month, Google responded to Apple’s announcement of the September 12 launch event by revealing that the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro would go official on October 4. It’s been a little over a week since that moment, and it already feels like Google can barely contain the excitement for its next event.

Case in point: today he released two teaser videos. The first is the more actual teaser of the two, showing quick glimpses of products including the Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel 8 Pro. Check it out for yourself:

However, that wasn’t enough, so about an hour later Google released the next “teaser” video, which is anything but a teaser. It’s basically the full reveal of the product in 23 seconds.

Guess what: the leaks were once again accurate. The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro retain the same design language as their predecessors, with various small improvements here and there. The Pro, for example, is said to add an infrared thermometer on the back for whatever reason (that’s the speck under the LED flash circle in case you’re wondering).

Now, if we turn our attention back to the Pixel Watch 2 in the first video, it’s pretty much a case of deja vu: isn’t the original Pixel Watch exactly like that too? Hopefully the improvements with this are under the hood – and let’s face it, we meant “battery life” and you read that as “battery life” too.
