As almost any Android Auto user can attest, the convenience feature tends to be fiddly even at the best of times. Especially if you use the wireless variety. However, some problems are more prevalent than others, and many Galaxy S24 users report problems connecting to their cars.
Apparently, the particular compatibility problem affects SEAT, Skoda and Volkswagen cars, and is quite widespread among owners of such cars. The problem is not insignificant as affected users are completely unable to connect to their car via Android Auto.
In a rather encouraging development, however, virtually all parties involved have been informed and have taken note of the matter. These include Samsung, Google and car manufacturers. According to initial investigations, the problem lies in the software installed on the car’s infotainment systems. If none of these steps solve the problem, contact your Volkswagen, Skoda or SEAT customer center or service center. These manufacturers have confirmed that they are working on software updates for affected vehicles.
The suggested troubleshooting steps are quite general and include checking whether your car is compatible with Android Auto and whether it is enabled in the settings.
