Samsung’s big presentation event for the Galaxy S24 family will take place this Wednesday, January 17. So now, with just hours to go, the last minute leaks are starting to arrive. This right here appears to have originated from Samsung’s Austrian arm – someone sharing a screenshot of its internal systems.
This lets us know that, as a pre-order promotion, in Austria (and presumably in many other EU or at least Western European countries), you will receive a free storage boost. So if you buy the 128GB model, you’ll get the 256GB one instead. And so on: pay 256GB, get 512GB. It also works with the 1TB version of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which you’ll get if you pre-order the 512GB iteration.
That said, the 1TB option is limited to just 2,000 units across all participating retailers in Austria and may be similarly limited in other countries where the same promotion will apply.
Going forward, if you trade in an old smartphone or tablet you will receive a guaranteed bonus of €100 on top of whatever the trade-in value is determined. The offer will be valid from January 17th to January 30th.
The Galaxy S24 and S24+ will be offered in these online-exclusive colors: Jade Green, Sapphire Blue and Sandstone Orange. The online-only shades of the S24 Ultra will be Titanium Green, Titanium Blue, and Titanium Orange.
