Qualcomm will announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in mid-November, but Mediatek’s next flagship will arrive soon.
The Taiwanese company has scheduled an event for November 8, which is next Tuesday, and that’s when we expect to see the Dimensity 9200 (name not yet confirmed).
The leaked benchmarks revealed a huge increase in overall performance: over 1.26 million points in Antutu, which is a 26% improvement over the Dimensity 9000. Sources say the chip will feature an earlier Cortex-X3 CPU core. quality that should lead to a 25% increase in raw performance.
The GPU is expected to be Immortalis-G715 with hardware support for ray tracing. Early benchmarks of that showed that it is more powerful than the Apple A16 Bionic.
