AnTuTu’s latest ranking revealed Qualcomm dominance in both the flagship and mid-range segments. Nine of the top 10 best-performing flagships run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, while seven of the top 10 midrangers are powered by the Snapdragon 870.
However, the Dimensity 8100-powered devices managed to steal the top spots in the mid-range of the competition, while the Black Shark 5 Pro dominated the more powerful segment.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1’s dominance here makes sense, as Exynos 2200 phones aren’t selling in China, Dimensity 9000 devices are just coming out now, and Kirin chipsets have given up on the run.
The AnTuTu benchmark tests four aspects of chipset performance: GPU, CPU, UX, and memory performance. However, cases of manufacturers specifically tweaking their hardware to boost AnTuTu’s score are not uncommon.
The mid-range camp reveals that the Dimensity 8100 is a leader on the run, with the Snapdragon 870 a second away. We should expect more devices to join this list once manufacturers get their hands on the new chips, but it may not be soon as the mobile industry is still struggling with supply chain problems.
Monthly AnTuTu results are the average of all runs for devices with at least 1,000 samples.
