Oceanic+ was designed by Huish Outdoors in collaboration with Apple and allows the wearer to access a lot of information relevant to divers. The Apple Watch Ultra can be submerged to a depth of 40m (130ft) and uses the depth gauge and water temperature sensors to collect additional data.

The app will show divers a warning if they are descending or ascending too fast and will show an estimated time to return to the surface. The app will also allow divers to set compass heading during a dive. There is also a planner that takes into account tide, temperature, visibility and currents before taking a dive. Watch face complications can show the wearer no-fly time, surface time, among others.

Oceanic+ will use the Taptic Engine and large bright display of the Apple Watch Ultra to notify the diver of any crucial information during a dive session. While there is a limited free version of the app, you can fully unlock the app for $5 a day, $10 a month, or $80 a year. You can also purchase a family license of the app for $130 a year. Oceanic+ requires Apple Watch Ultra running WatchOS 9.1 and paired with an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16.1
