Adventure game Back to the past
Knights and Bikes is a throwback to the more 80s. It is also a throwback to the era of true adventure games.
Now, this is not a “point and click” adventure. But it’s not exactly a traditional action game. Enemies are relatively few and far between. Instead, much of the fun comes from exploring the island and discovering more and more of its bizarre mysteries.
If you like the idea of getting into these mysteries, this is the game for you. But if you just want to take out one enemy after another, we recommend taking a different game.
Blurred imagination and reality
Speaking of enemies, the enemies in this game are truly unique. This is because players see the game world through the eyes of two very imaginative girls.
Reality and imagination come together in fun and evocative ways. Sometimes you’re battling “cursed” golf balls and shoes, for example. Other times, you’re battling a vehicle crusher that girls see as a mighty dragon.
While trying to find out what’s real and what’s not can drive more literal players crazy, the game’s emphasis on childish imagination will be the best part of the game for everyone else.
