Better with two players

Knights and Bikes is about two hilarious girls: Demelza and Nessa. And it’s only fair that this game is better when you have a second player.

It is possible to beat the game entirely by yourself. This is because the game’s AI is surprisingly decent, helping you overcome both enemies and puzzles.

However, these puzzles are an important part of the game’s difficulty and appeal. It’s more fun to face them with a friend next to you. And playing with a friend will make competitive minigames (where girls fight each other in everything from bike racing to video games) that much more satisfying.

Fun world building

The game as a whole is pretty short (more on that later). However, take every opportunity to engage in some really fun world building.

Since the island you are on is fictional, players will be even more confused than the girls about its history and mystery. With each turn, you will discover more twists and turns in the world and in the characters around you.

That world building also helps this game to be more than just a wacky 1980s simulator. Instead of playing “find the reference”, you spend most of your time figuring out what the hell is going on.
