Enter the Battle Pass

Fortnite is a free-to-play game and this is one of the reasons it is so popular. However, many players feel like they have to purchase the Battle Pass to get the most out of the game.

A Battle Pass typically costs around $ 10 and allows players to earn a variety of skins, icons, and other cosmetic upgrades. Is it really worth it? It depends on how you look at it.

Since the updates are primarily cosmetic, it is possible to never purchase a Battle Pass and continue enjoying the game immensely. And for veteran gamers, gameplay fun is the focus of the game – you don’t necessarily need a special carrot every month to help you enjoy the game.

On the other hand, the Battle Pass is cheaper than buying random loot from other games and provides an added sense of progression and accomplishment. While that value may be intangible, it is very real for more hardcore games.

Great learning curve

Is this game easy for beginners? In a word, “No”. In three words: “Not at all”.

Success in the game is based on intimate knowledge of the map and the location of all the best weapons and items. Additionally, you’ll want to have a game plan for where you prefer to land and how you’ll move inland when the storm is approaching.

This means that you will probably have to do a lot of homework before diving into the game. While it may seem annoying or intimidating, it makes your eventual success much sweeter and much more deserved.

Final verdict

Should you play Fortnite? Personally, I think everyone should try it out and see what it is all about. It’s free, fun, and fast, making it easy for you to find matches, even if you play alone.
