Nubia’s Red Magic 8 Pro is the brand’s latest gaming phone and is the first device to undergo a JerryRig Everything durability test in 2023. As usual, the test begins with a screen scratch test which shows scratches on the screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5 at a level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale.
The metal blade of the host confirms that the phone frame and power button are made of aluminum. The capacitive shoulder triggers remain functional even after a close encounter with the blade. The back and three camera lenses are all protected by glass. Finally, we see that the bending test manages to separate the rear glass but the phone remains in one piece and does not break.
