The Xiaomi Redmi sub-brand has announced that it will add a new member to the Redmi Note 12 series on April 29, dubbed the Redmi Note 12R Pro.
The company has also shared a poster revealing the design and color options of the Redmi Note 12R Pro. The image shows us the back of the smartphone, with a rectangular camera island that houses two cameras and an LED flash. The primary camera uses a 48MP sensor, but we’ve yet to get confirmation on what the secondary camera does. It could be a macro unit or a depth sensor, though.
The frame on the right side of the Redmi Note 12R Pro has a volume rocker and a power button, with the latter probably also acting as a fingerprint scanner despite the smartphone being equipped with an OLED screen made by Samsung since no other smartphone in the Redmi Note 12 range it uses an in-display fingerprint reader.
The Redmi Note 12R Pro will ship with 5G connectivity and will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage, but there may be more memory options that are yet to be confirmed.
The Redmi Note 12R Pro will go on sale in China on April 29, starting at 10:00 local time, when we will know all about the specifications, features and prices.
