The biggest event of the year for Apple is finally upon us. Titled “Far Out” and taking place at the Apple Park campus, it begins at 10:00 PT for both in-person attendees and those streaming from Apple’s website and YouTube channel.

Apple will hold its next event on September 7 at Apple Park

Here’s what to expect.

iPhone 14

This is Apple’s main fall event, and traditionally it’s all about the new iPhones. Apple will unveil four new iPhones 14 – 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro and the new 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Switching to a cheaper Plus-sized phone comes at the expense of the iPhone mini, which is eliminated due to disappointing sales.

The most solid rumors indicate that the Pro duo has the biggest upgrades. iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a new double cutout for selfie cameras and FaceID, which will be merged into software as a long one pill-shaped notch, which will fit the privacy indicators for the microphone and camera between the physical cutouts. The main wide-angle camera will have a new larger 48MP sensor which will allow 8K video recording. The ultrawide camera will get a larger sensor for low-light shooting, and the selfie camera will finally have autofocus and probable imager improvements. Rumors suggest Apple will finally show a Always active display for the iPhone. Finally, the iPhone 14 Pro models will have the new A16 chipset.

Non-Pro models will keep the A15 Bionic chip from last year and will likely inherit the wide camera from the iPhone 13 Pro: a larger sensor with a brighter lens. Some rumors suggest that non-Pro models will get the improved ultrawide camera, but reports are uncertain about the potential AF on the selfie camera.

The new iPhones will keep the Lightning port for another year, but could see the charging speed increase to 30W.

Pro models will likely see a price increase$ 100 in the US and probably a lot more in Europe.

All iPhone 14 models could present an innovative novelty satellite connectivity support, which Apple tried to unveil last year but failed to finalize. It could be related to the event’s “Far Out” slogan. Satellite company Globalstar has been linked to providing connectivity for Apple. Think of the feature as a last resort when all other media are lost, pack enough bandwidth for a call or text message and nothing else.

Watch Series 8, Watch Pro, Watch SE

The next priority announcement will be the Apple Watch Series 8although it is conceivable that Apple will lead it.

Expect to see the new Watch Series 8 pack faster S8 chip. While it’s unlikely we’ll see blood pressure monitoring, it’s likely we’ll see a new one temperature monitor which will alert the wearer of a possible fever and will be able to help with fertility monitoring.

Apple will lead the way on a new professional device: the Watch Pro. It will bring a bigger one 47 mm case – compared to the 41mm and 45mm sizes of Apple’s current smartwatches. Rumors suggest the Pro may have a flat display and will include superior build quality, perhaps a sapphire display and titanium case. Expect the Apple Watch Pro to be in the $ 900- $ 1000 price range.

Finally, there is the new Look at SE. It is supposed to keep the display size of the current Watch SE, which means the S8 chip will be the biggest improvement.

AirPods Pro 2 and iOS 16

The three-year-old AirPods Pro are getting a replacement. The new AirPods Pro will be the first to support Apple’s Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC)which may be linked to improved Bluetooth support.

The AirPods Pro may feature a new stemless design with integrated wing tips, similar to the Beats Fit Pro.

Apple should be done with work iOS 16 and is set to launch the update one week after the iPhone 14 event. Among its main features are the new customizable lock screen, notifications at the bottom, new profiles for different scenarios and the ability to change and cancel the sending in Messages.

Apple iOS 16 is here with the redesigned lock screen, but without the always-on display
