As per tradition, Samsung is starting its 2024 launches early with entry-level Galaxy A phones. This time it’s the Galaxy A25, A15 5G and A15 (4G) and we already know which of the three will be the most popular model, thanks to last week’s survey.

The Samsung Galaxy A25 is a clear favourite: among those looking for an entry-level phone, this will usually be on the shortlist. Many people think it’s overpriced, so a price cut will definitely boost the A25’s fortunes.

Perhaps this is less of a win for the A25 and more of a loss for the Galaxy A15 5G. The problem isn’t that it’s expensive, it’s that the clearly better A25 costs only a fraction more. If both are available in a given market and maintain their prices, there is little hope for the A15 5G.

The Galaxy A15 has more potential as it is the cheapest option. Many people don’t mind the lack of 5G connectivity and are happy to save money by choosing this over the nearly identical A15 5G.

We have already seen the first step of the A series with the Galaxy A05 and A05s, soon we will find out what will be above: the Galaxy A35 and A55 phones. The A25 in particular and to some extent the A15 offer a nice middle ground between these two groups.
