The Google Pixel 7 is down to $450, which is a surprisingly low price for a still-current flagship, though it’s not the best with a 90Hz display, no camera, and 20W charging. Still, you get the pure Google experience, complete of exciting software features with each update.

For nearly the same price you can get the OnePlus 10 Pro instead, with a QHD+ 120Hz LTPO display, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and a 3.3x camera, as well as 65W wired charging and 50W wireless.

One Plus 10 Pro

Or how about a Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G instead? That boils down to a 120Hz non-LTPO FHD+ display and the older Snapdragon 888 chipset. It has a 3x camera, but it only charges at 25W on a cable and at 15W wirelessly.

Later, some Apple tablets. Last year’s iPad Air is powered by the Apple M1 chip found in some older iPad Pros and Macs. It has a 10.9″ display (60Hz, unlike the Pro Whiteboards) that supports the second generation Apple Pencil.

iPad Air (2022)

The base 2022 iPad is cheaper but uses the less powerful Apple A14 chipset. Its 10.9-inch display is the same as the Air, except it uses the older first-generation Pencils.

There’s also the 2021 iPad, which is considerably cheaper and not much less powerful with an A13 chip.

Finally something for gamers: the Samsung Odyssey G65B, a 27-inch curved monitor with QHD resolution and up to 240Hz refresh rate (1ms gray-to-gray response time). This is DisplayHDR 600 certified, meaning it can hit 600 nits in HDR scenes. The stand is adjustable in height and angle and can be rotated by 90°. This is also basically a Tizen smart TV, by the way, so you can use it to stream games and videos as well (without a connected PC).

As a reminder, the Discover Samsung promotion ends this Sunday.

The Google Pixel 7 Pro is down to £685 for a unit with 128GB of storage. You can instead have the smaller Pixel 7 with double the storage (256GB) for £600. Note that both phones are offered with a £125 trade-in boost, which is cash more than your phone is worth. old phone, so even a cheap old phone can bring Pixel prices down significantly.

There’s also the Pixel 6a for under £300, but there’s no trade-in deal here. For the same amount of money you can get a Pixel Watch (LTE) instead.

The Nokia X30 and Nokia G60 come with what HMD calls the “3-3-3 promise”: 3 OS updates, 3 years of security patches, and a 3-year warranty. The two phones launched with Android 12 last year, so one of those updates will be spent just catching up. However, it’s nice to know that you’ll be fully covered until 2025.

Samsung offers “gadget cases” for the Galaxy S23 series. They’re so called because they have an attachment point on the back that can attach various gadgets with a simple twist – gadgets like the camera grip and slim tripod. The case itself comes with a simple kickstand gadget.

Germany Germany

You know the drill: Amazon Germany has current-generation iPhone 14s for less than Apple.com. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is a whopping $200 off (well, huge in iPhone terms), but the other deals are pretty good too (all over $100 off).

The Pixel 6a costs €333 from Google’s online store. However, for the same price you can get it bundled with a Chromecast TV. Note that this is the 1080p version, so we wouldn’t plug it into a large TV, but it can breathe new life into an old set. The Chromecast TV alone is worth around €40.

There is also the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G for less money. It’s not as good as the brand new A34, but it’s 30% cheaper.

Netherlands Netherlands

Amazon’s Dutch branch has a very similar deal on iPhone 14 series models as the German one. The iPhone 14 Pro costs €50 more, so you might want to scroll up and check out the German offer – shipping should be cheaper. The offers for Pro, Plus and vanilla are basically the same, so you can just get them from the local branch.

Other interesting deals include the OnePlus 10T at €540, not bad for a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phone. It also has a 6.7-inch 120Hz display (FHD+ only and no LTPO), plus a 4,800mAh battery with super charging fast 150W. The camera is nothing special, but this is a great gaming phone (without the “game phone” aspect).

The Nokia X30 comes with what HMD calls the “3-3-3 promise”: 3 OS updates, 3 years of security patches, and a 3-year warranty. It launched with Android 12 last year, so one of those updates will be spent just catching up. However, it’s nice to know that you’ll be fully covered until 2025.

But wouldn’t you rather spend less and buy the Sony Xperia 10 IV instead? It uses the same Snapdragon 695 chipset, its display can only run at 60Hz (90Hz for the Nokia), but it’s a 10-bit HDR panel. And you get niceties like a microSD slot and 3.5mm headphone jack.

India India

The Galaxy A54 and A34 started shipping to India this week. It’s too early to talk about discounts, but Amazon offers a trade-in deal that can slash up to ₹25,000 off the price.

The older OnePlus 10 Pro is down to ₹56,000, is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powered device with a 6.7″ 120Hz LTPO display (QHD+ resolution), has a capable set of Hasselblad-branded cameras and a 5,000mAh fast charging (80W wired, 50W wireless).

One Plus 10 Pro

There’s also the OnePlus 10R, which costs much less, ₹32,000, but is also less capable with a 6.7-inch 120Hz FHD+ display (non-LTPO), Dimensity 8100-Max chipset, no camera. The 5,000mAh battery matches the Pro with 80W wired charging, but the wireless option is missing.

One Plus 10R

The price of the latest generation S-series flagship from Samsung has dropped significantly. The Galaxy S22 in particular is down to ₹53,000, which is a bit less than OnePlus. India got Snapdragon-flavored phones last year, so you’re looking at the 8th Gen 1. The vanilla S22 doesn’t have a QHD+ LTPO panel like OnePlus, nor its fast charging. However, One UI comes with DeX and great support for Microsoft’s Phone Link, not to mention 4 OS updates (it already had one).

Samsung Galaxy S22 5G

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G

The S22 Ultra costs more than twice as much as the vanilla phone and isn’t worth it. If you’re paying that much, you might as well get the new S23 Ultra. By the way, here are the prices for the S23 generation for your reference.

Here is a unique looking phone, the Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian. It is called that because its back design is inspired by the famous abstract painter. It’s also interesting that Tecno has used a photosensitive paint – the colors are quite pale in the dark but come to life when the sun hits them.

As for the phone itself, it offers a large 6.8-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD display and a large 5,000mAh battery with 33W wired-only charging. The Helio G96 chipset is nothing to write home about, but this phone has cameras. pretty good for its class: a 64MP main camera (1/1.7-inch sensor, with OIS) and a 50MP 50mm zoom camera, plus a 32MP selfie cam.

As the name suggests, Lava Blaze 5G can connect to India’s next generation network. And it costs just over ₹10,000. This phone comes with a fairly generous 128GB of storage (plus a microSD slot) and a 5,000mAh battery. The Blaze suffers from flaws typical of this price range: HD+ display (90Hz though) and 10W charging, no ultra-wide-angle camera and certainly no telephoto.

For ₹3,000 more you can get iQOO Z5 5G. While Lava uses a Dimension 700, this one has a fairly powerful Snapdragon 765G. It has an FHD+ display and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, as well as support for 44W fast charging (5,000mAh battery).

The Amazfit GTR Mini was unveiled a few days ago and is a 42mm watch that costs significantly less than the 46mm GTR 4 (₹11,000 vs. ₹17,000) but has many of the same great features. It has a 1.28-inch AMOLED display, up to 14 days of battery life, runs third-party apps (ZeppOS 2.0), and has the premier suite of health and sports tracking hardware.
