vivo launched vivo X80 Pro in China with OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12, but its global version sold in other countries came with Funtouch OS 12 instead. vivo started rolling out Funtouch OS 13 beta version based on Android 13 for the global models of X80 Pro last month and it seems that the beta test went smoothly since the company released the stable update of Funtouch OS 13 for Snapdragon 8 Gen 1- powered smartphone.
The update arrived on our vivo X80 Pro in India with firmware version PD2185BF_EX_A_13.1.10.13.W30 and requires a 6.24GB download. It is the Funtouch OS 13 Global ROM and comes with the November 1, 2022 Android security patch and some new features including phone cooling in the iManager app. vivo claims it prevents your phone from overheating as it intelligently lowers the CPU frequency by “making apps run less”.
That said, Funtouch OS 13 does not bring any major changes to the user interface of vivo X80 Pro as it does not feature any design overhaul. You can read our coverage of the Funtouch OS 13 announcement here to learn more.
