The vivo T2 smartphone was supposed to arrive in China today, but the company has decided to postpone the launch to June 6. However, the smartphone spec page was still loaded on the company’s website, so let’s see what’s coming in two weeks time.

The device is new in name only – it has exactly the same specs as the iQOO Neo6 SE with Snapdragon 870, introduced earlier this month.

The vivo T2 has a 6.62-inch AMOLED and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen has a Full HD + resolution and a hole for the 16 MP selfie camera.

The rear has a 64MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP auxiliary snapper on a neat rectangular island.

We will have to wait for the launch to know the price of the vivo T2. It has two RAM and two storage options, as well as two color options, which means we’ll have different price points.

Meanwhile, vivo has also launched a Y72t midranger which is exactly the same as the Y55 but with a different name.

The Y72t still runs on a Dimensity 700. It also sticks to OriginOS 1.0 with Android 11 underneath, instead of the newer Ocean above Android 12.

The biggest change here is the price: vivo Y72t costs CNY1,399 / $ 210 (8/128 GB) and CNY1,599 / $ 240 (8/256 GB), which is CNY100 / $ 15 cheaper than the Y55. There is also an additional discount for advance purchases.
