So here we are: After we’ve recap the top-rated reviews from the first three quarters, it’s time to focus on the last three months of the outgoing year. It’s just one of the ways we can look back and evaluate the current state of the mobile phone market and its most important aspect: what you, the reader, like.

Top 10 Most Popular Reviews of 2022: Q4

Let’s kick things off with the latest and greatest pair of Pixel 7 phones from Google. After the Pixel 6a made quite a splash in the third quarter, the new Pixels came out right at the start of the fourth quarter and attracted a lot of eyes. They offer a clean AOSP experience garnished with some unique software features and an amazing computational camera experience. A killer combination for many.

Xiaomi has decided to update its flagship range with the 12T and 12T Pro in early October. Both are well-positioned and competitive devices with similar specs, although Xiaomi has chosen Qualcomm for Pro and MediaTek for Vanilla. Both phones understandably proved quite popular in our review section in Q4.

Realme released some device announcements in early November. Of the new generation of Realme 10, it seems that you guys like the Realme 10 Pro+ model the most and we can definitely see why. Priced very competitively, the Pro+ brings things like stereo speakers, a large 10-bit HDR10+ 120Hz curved OLED panel, a capable Dimension 1080 chipset, and great battery life. The vanilla Realme 10 also made it into the top ten with its 90Hz OLED panel and 50MP main camera.

Huawei dropped its latest flagship Mate 50 range in early September, but it took some time for the lone member of the series to flee China. We have reviewed the Mate 50 Pro and you guys found it pretty cool too.

Speaking of slightly delayed devices, the iPhone 14 Plus launched sales a little later than its siblings, which is why we see it in the top ten reviews Q4 rather than Q3 alongside the rest of the series.

Foldables tend to do well in our review section, and the Motorola Razr 2022 is no exception. It’s a phone that has pushed hinge design to a new level and performed well in other areas, though not necessarily in terms of price.

And last, but certainly not least, the Tecno Phantom X2 Pro made it into the top ten. While not a brand you see too often on our site due to its limited Western presence, Tecno is huge and easily in the top 10 globally. The Phantom X2 Pro represents a bold step into the company’s flagship territory. One complete with a unique pop-out vertical telephoto lens on the back.
