With the Xiaomi 13 series already available globally, it’s time to turn our attention to the next generation of flagships from Xiaomi. The first set of specs for the Xiaomi 14 series is here thanks to tipster Digital chat station which shares some preliminary details on the chipsets, batteries and charging speeds of the upcoming flagships.
Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro are expected to debut in November with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset at the helm. Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC will be announced in late October at a dedicated event held in Maui, Hawaii, and Xiaomi will be one of the first smartphone brands to launch devices powered by the new chipset.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is expected to feature a new 1+5+2 core architecture with a main Cortex-X4 core along with 5 Cortex-A720 cores and 2 Cortex-A520 cores. The GPU side should be covered by the Adreno 750 which should offer some notable performance improvements.
The Xiaomi 14 is said to feature a 4,860mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 14 Pro will boast a slightly larger 5,000mAh cell with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. w.
