Did you know that the S Pen that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra works underwater? We’re not sure we’d actually use it that way, but the new IP68 dust and water resistance means you won’t have to worry about water splashes when using the slate next to a pool.

Improved Vision Booster technology automatically illuminates the display based on lighting conditions, whether it’s the sun at the pool or artificial lighting indoors. The 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display ran at 60-120Hz and could be split into up to three apps for when you’re multitasking, whether that means actually working or scrolling through TikTok and Facebook simultaneously.

If you’re working, the new GoodNotes app handles handwritten notes and drawings. The Samsung Notes app can turn handwritten text into digital text that’s easier to share and search.

Alternatively, you can take the Book Cover keyboard and turn the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra into a laptop (actually, it’s bigger than some laptops). With DeX and video out via the USB-C port you can even connect an additional monitor (and/or keyboard and mouse as well).

This year the S9 tablets feature the fastest and most efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset for Galaxy, and the Ultra has a new 1TB option (plus a microSD slot for more). This option is paired with 16GB of RAM (the 256GB and 512GB models get 12GB of RAM), which also helps with multitasking.
