The first Nord-branded headphones are here and are the company’s cheapest TWS gems – their recommended price is ₹ 3,000, but they are discounted at ₹ 2,800 ($ 37 / € 35) to launch. Previously, the OnePlus Buds Z were the cheapest at ₹ 3,200 (discounted to ₹ 3,000), but they are now out of stock.
The OnePlus Nord Buds are equipped with 12.4mm drivers and support Dolby Atmos. From the companion app, you can choose from several Sound Master EQ presets (including a custom one) to tune the sound.

The buds do not tire easily: they can play music for 7 hours without interruption by themselves, the case brings the total listening time to 30 hours. OnePlus is a company that loves fast charging and this is no exception, a 10 minute charge translates to 5 hours of playback.
The Gems use Bluetooth 5.2 and have a Pro Gamer mode that reduces latency by up to 94ms. Audio codec support is limited, however, with only SBC and AAC. On the plus side, they also support quick pairing when using a OnePlus phone or other Android phones (using the HeyMelody app). There is no ANC, but there are 2 microphones per bud which are used to deliver clean sound during calls.
Nord Gems are available in Black Slate and White Marble. Each gem weighs 4.82g and has a 41mAh battery, plus an IP55 rating, so you can use it in the gym and in the rain. The case has a 480mAh battery and supports charging via USB-C.
The OnePlus Nord Buds can be pre-ordered in India for ₹ 2,800 ($ 37 / € 35), open sales will start in 12 days. We haven’t heard anything of a global launch yet.
