This slightly quirky product features a 27-inch 1080p touchscreen display along with speakers and a battery inside what clearly looks like a briefcase. The display can be tilted up to 90 degrees, rotated clockwise up to 90 degrees, and adjusted for height within a range of 18 centimeters. Users can choose landscape or portrait orientation or use it in tabletop mode. The display also supports Dolby Vision.

To go with the display you also get a set of 20W speakers that adjust to the angle of the display. The speakers also support Dolby Atmos content.

The display runs on LG’s webOS platform found on the company’s TVs and allows the user to stream content from an iOS or Android device using AirPlay and screen mirroring. There is also an HDMI port for cable connection. There is also voice recognition support for hands-free operation.

LG says the case has passed 11 US Department of Defense durability tests, ensuring its resistance to low pressure, high temperature, low temperature, dust, vibration, salt spray, shock and drops. Opening or closing the case lid also turns the display on and off.

The display includes a battery that can provide up to three hours of use without external power. The case also contains the remote control and power cord.

The LG StanbyME Go is priced at 1.17 million won (~$885) and will be available starting July 7 through online and offline channels.
