The Infinix Smart 8 is now official and arrives as the successor to the Smart 7 launched in February. The new device is almost identical to the Tecno Pop 8, which is not surprising since both Infinix and Tecno are under the umbrella of Transsion Holdings.
The Smart 8 offers an IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The panel features a punch-hole cutout and a dynamic island-like overlay that provides status updates and charging information.

Infinix has chosen the Unisoc T606 chipset along with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage via the microSD card slot. The rear houses a 13MP (f/1.8) primary camera along with a VGA depth mount and an LED flash.
The device boots Android 13 with Infinix XOS 13 on top and features a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support.

The Infinix Smart 8 is available in Timber Black, Galaxy White, Crystal Green and Shiny Gold colours. The retail price in Nigeria is set at NGN82,000 ($105) and the device is already on sale there.
