Huawei today announced the official launch date of its next flagship smartphones. The Mate 50 series will be introduced on September 6 in China and, according to rumors, we will see at least four phones: Mate 50E, Mate 50 vanilla, Mate 50 Pro and a top-notch Mate 50 Porsche Design RS.
It is likely that the event will also see Huawei announce XMage, its own imaging engine, which is expected to replace Leica in developing a photo enhancement algorithm that gives us beautiful night photos.
All phones should also have a special NPU, developed by HiSilicon, which will do the necessary calculations for XMage.
A new MatePad Pro 11 was already introduced in July and we now expect to see a larger 12.4 “variant with dual cameras.
