Exactly one year after the debut of the Xperia 5 IV, Sony is ready to announce the successor with the Xperia 5 V. The next device will debut on Friday, September 1 at 16:00 Japan time (7:00 UTC) and, as of usual, it will be live streamed on YouTube.
The short trailer for the event boasts the quality of the phone’s camera in both day and night shots. Based on last month’s leaked promotional video, the Xperia 5 V will boast a dual camera setup.

We also know that it will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and up to 16GB of RAM as listed on Geekbench. A previous certification from the Chinese 3C agency confirmed 33W fast charging.
