Sony’s compact flagship Xperia 5 series is about to get a new member, a new Geekbench listing reveals. It also reveals some of the specifications of the upcoming phone.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the device runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, but the listing also confirms that Sony is preparing a 16GB RAM variant. It will match the iQOO 11 Pro and OnePlus 11 among a number of other recently launched phones with 16GB of RAM.
Going back to the benchmark list itself, the Xperia 5V shows similar performance to other Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered phones we’ve tested, even though it’s early in its development stage. We can also see the model number of the phone, which is XQ-DQ72 and will help us identify him in future leaks.
