Oppo unveiled its Reno8 series today and also announced a new tablet and a pair of wireless earbuds on stage. The Oppo Pad Air is the manufacturer’s second Android tablet that offers a 10-inch LCD display, a Snapdragon 680 chipset, and a 7,100mAh battery. The Enco R’s are an affordable pair of wireless earbuds with 13.4mm drivers and a combined 24-hour battery life.
Oppo Pad Air
Oppo Pad Air gets a 10.36-inch IPS LCD with 2000x1200px resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The tablet offers four speakers with Dolby Atmos for multimedia consumption and true to its name Air weighs just 440 grams. For the optics: there is an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie cam.
The tablet runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory expandable via microSD. Unfortunately, there is no cellular connectivity option on the Pad Air. ColorOS for Pad based on Android 12 covers the software side while the tablet’s 7,100mAh battery supports 18W charging.
Oppo Pad Air is available in star silver and fog gray colors. The base 4/64 GB model starts at CNY 1,299 ($ 195) while the high-end 6/128 GB casing costs CNY 1,699 ($ 255). Oppo also offers several accessories including a keyboard cover (CNY 349) and a stylus (CNY 299). Open sales in China begin on June 1st.
Oppo Enco R
Encor R are a pair of affordable wireless earbuds with 13.4mm drivers and support for AAC and SBC codecs. There is AI call noise reduction although no ANC function. Each earphone weighs only 3.5 grams. Oppo is the promising 4 hour battery life on the buds and another 20 hours from the charging case.
Oppo Enco R
The gems connect to any device via Bluetooth 5.2 and are IPX4 rated. Charging is done via USB-C. The Oppo Enco R will retail for CNY 299 ($ 45) and will go on open sale in China from June 1.
