Samsung is expected to announce a new mid-range chipset with AMD graphics soon, and we finally have our first unofficial look at the SoC thanks to a Geekbench listing. The Exynos 1480 (S5E8845) is touted as the successor to the Exynos 1380 and brings an eight-core structure based on the ARMv8 architecture with 4x performance cores clocked at 2.75 GHz and 4x efficiency cores whirring at 2.05 Ghz .

What’s more interesting is the presence of the Xclipse 530 GPU that uses AMD RDNA 2 graphics just like the 2022 flagship Exynos 2200 that powered the European Galaxy S22 series phones. The Exynos 1480 is said to power the upcoming Galaxy A55 and other Galaxy A-series phones in 2024.
