Part of the pre-order benefit for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 was a free storage upgrade from 256GB to 512GB. Although pre-orders ended a couple of weeks ago, you can still get double the storage for free under one condition.
The Phantom Man and Icy Blue colorways are available from Samsung US at a discount of $120, exactly the price of the storage upgrade. That means a 512GB black drive costs $1,800, while a cream model costs $1,920.

If you’re looking at an unlocked unit, there’s a $200 guaranteed minimum for trade-ins: any old smartphone, even one with a cracked screen, knocks the Z Fold5’s price down by $200. The maximum discount is $1,000.
If you’re looking to sign a new contract or renew, T-Mobile is offering a free Galaxy Z Flip5 or up to $1,000 off the Z Fold5 with an eligible trade-in and Go5G Plus plan. AT&T is offering up to $1,000 off the Fold with an AT&T Unlimited plan and a trade-in. Verizon is offering up to $1,000 off select trade-ins and a free season of NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube. Note that the $200 trade-in minimum also applies to carrier offers.
