CES 2024 kicks off on Tuesday next week, and Samsung will be showcasing its new OLED monitors at the show (among other gadgets, of course). The new models include the ultra-wide curved Odyssey OLED G9 and, for the first time in the range, flat OLED monitors dubbed the G8 and G6.

Starting with the largest one, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SD) measures a whopping 49 inches. It has a resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 px with a 32:9 aspect ratio, so it’s like two 16:9 displays side by side (and without a bezel in the center).

The Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SD) is a 32-inch 4K OLED monitor, with a flat screen, great for those who don’t like curved displays on both their phone and desktop. This sticks to a standard 16:9 aspect ratio and has a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 px.

The G9 and G8 have a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 0.03 ms (gray to gray). They’re also Smart TVs (with Tizen) and support Samsung Gaming Hub, so you can use game streaming services without a PC or console connected.

They are also Samsung SmartThings Hub and can control your smart home devices using the Matter and Home Connectivity Alliance protocols. These two also support the new Multi Control feature that lets you easily copy and paste text and images between Samsung devices connected to the monitor.

The Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD) is a 27-inch flat OLED monitor with QHD resolution this time (2,560 x 1,440, 16:9). This runs at a higher refresh rate of 360Hz (but has the same GTG response time of 0.03ms).

All three monitors have a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for variable refresh rate gaming.

They also have rich connectivity with two HDMI 2.1 ports and a built-in USB hub. There’s a DisplayPort 1.4 input, so you can connect a compatible laptop (and even a phone or tablet) with a single USB-C cable for power, video, and data.

Odyssey OLED monitors feature height-adjustable stands with tilt, swivel and pivot control points. They also have Core Lightning+, which is the RGB lighting on the back of the monitor that sets the mood.

The Samsung Odyssey G9, G8 and G6 will be unveiled at CES next week and the company is expected to reveal launch details (date and price) for the trio as well.
