Samsung announced that it is developing LPDDR5X as a natural evolution of LPDDR5 and today the company announced that the DRAM chips have completed validation.

The new memory reaches speeds of 8.5 Gbps, which is the industry’s fastest speed for DRAM. It comfortably surpassed the maximum speed of 7.5 Gbps reached in March.

LPDDR5X technology is nothing new on the market, some smartphones have already adopted the platform, but the new memory will allow you to reach even higher speeds with minimal internal redesign.

The low power consumption and high performance levels of the LPDDR5X make it suitable for applications beyond smartphones: PCs, servers and cars, according to Samsung.
