A few days ago a Safety Korea certification revealed the two Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 batteries, as the foldable design uses two separate cells. But the information was pretty sparse – we could only see the battery itself with no relevant information attached to the images.

Galaxy Club was able to pull the much needed specs, however, and there are two ways to look at the results. It would be a disappointment if the overall battery capacity remains essentially unchanged. The other would be in line with recent rumors suggesting a significantly thinner design and improved camera hardware. So in some ways it’s good news that Samsung hasn’t sacrificed battery capacity to achieve them.

One of the cells has a nominal capacity of 2,002mAh while the second has a nominal capacity of 2,268mAh. The total nominal capacity is 4,270mAh, which corresponds to the 4,270mAh nominal capacity of the current Galaxy Z Fold3. It is important to note that the nominal and typical capacities are two different things and the manufacturers advertise the typical and in the case of the Z Fold3 it is 4,400mAh.

Either way, the new evidence suggests there won’t be any battery downgrades as suggested by previous reports.
