The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, which is expected to go official on August 10, was spotted on Geekbench last month with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, Android 12, and 8GB of RAM. Now, the Galaxy Z Fold4 that will be unveiled alongside the Flip4 has also moved on from Geekbench, confirming key specs in the process.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 that was benchmarked has the model designation SM-F936U, suggesting it is the US version. The unit runs Android 12 and has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip at the helm with 12GB of RAM. And that may be the only RAM option as the Galaxy Fold3 also comes with a single 12GB RAM option and we don’t think Samsung will launch a 16GB RAM model.

While the amount of RAM is likely to remain the same, Samsung is expected to increase the maximum storage space from 512GB on the Fold3 to 1TB on the Fold4. The Fold4 is also rumored to be lighter than the Fold3 but has a 4,400mAh battery, the same size as the Fold3.

Rumors also claim that the foldable screen of the Samsung Galaxy Fold4 will have a less prominent crease and will have a smoother appearance than that of the Fold3.
