We are ready with the Galaxy S24+ battery life test and here are the results.

The Galaxy S24+ has a 4,900mAh battery – 200mAh more than its predecessor – and an LTPO panel for granular control of the screen refresh rate. However, the Galaxy S24+ has a higher resolution QHD+ display, a significant upgrade over 1080p. The latest phone uses an Exynos 2400 in most countries, and that’s the unit we have to test, a departure from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and its 4nm process made by TSMC.

The Galaxy S24+ recorded a lower active usage score than its predecessor, by one hour and 20 minutes. The new phone beat its predecessor in only one, albeit probably the most important, test: in the video playback loop it got 2 hours more. Calls are down 5 hours, browsing is a half hour less, and gaming is 2.5 hours less.

We’ll delve into the battery score in our full review, but for now we can say that the Galaxy S24+’s battery life isn’t bad, it’s just not better than that of its predecessor.
