A few days after the results of the Galaxy S23 Geekbench are released, we take the first look at a list of the alleged Galaxy S23 Ultra with the model number SM-S918U. Geekbench’s new listing shows that the S23 Ultra is equipped with an unnamed chipset with the same identifier as the “kalama” motherboard and a 1 + 2 + 2 + 3 CPU configuration with a main core clocked at 3.6 GHz Based on past rumors, this is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC that was also seen in the Geekbench listing of the Galaxy S23 (SM-S911U).

The test device achieved an impressive single-core score of 1,521 points and a multi-core result of 4,689 points. For context, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Galaxy S22 Ultra achieves 1,200 / 3,200 points respectively. The new listing shows the test device with 8 GB of RAM, although we can safely assume that the retail versions will carry at least 12 GB of RAM. We also have confirmation that the phone runs Android 13 allegedly with OneUI 5 on top.

It remains to be seen whether Samsung will also release Exynos-powered Galaxy S23 models as older rumors suggested that all S-series 2023 phones will use Qualcomm SoCs while more recent reports claim Exynos chips are still on the table.
