Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra may maintain the same prices as their predecessors in the US, but not elsewhere. A leaked rumor from Australia let us know for the first time about impending price hikes, and today new leaked prices for the trio in Europe basically confirm the bad news.

The base model Galaxy S23 will cost 100 euros more than the base model Galaxy S22 (here are all of last year’s launch prices to compare). The base model Galaxy S23+, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will cost €100 more than the Galaxy S22+ version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and €150 more than the model Galaxy S22+ base with 128GB of storage. Storage.

Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra prices for Europe leak, get ready to pay more

The base model Galaxy S23 Ultra will cost £150 more than the base model Galaxy S22 Ultra, but you get 256GB of storage instead of 128GB. The S22 Ultra didn’t have an identical version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage that we can directly compare to.

This means that in cheaper eurozone countries (due to different VAT levels), such as Germany and Benelux, you should expect to pay €949 for a Galaxy S23 base model and €1,399 for a Galaxy S23 Ultra base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Galaxy S23+ will most likely cost €1,199 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, although this leak doesn’t mention it specifically for those markets.

On the other hand, the tweet embedded above has a complete pricing breakdown for Spain, for all versions of all models (aside from the 1TB iteration, as the info here is presumably from a Spanish reseller and that version may be exclusive to Samsung.com in Spain). The slight difference compared to Germany and the Benelux is something that is always present and most likely has to do with the higher VAT in Spain. Here are the above prices in an easier to read format:

Spain
Galaxy S23 Galaxy S23+ Galaxy S23 Ultra
8/128GB €959 N/A N/A
8/256GB €1,019 €1,209 €1,409
8/512GB N/A €1,329 N/A
12/512GB N/A N/A €1,589

If this goes well, Samsung, like most companies, will respond to inflation by creating a little more inflation, as that is literally what the price hike does. The irony isn’t lost on us and it shouldn’t be lost on you, but if you’re interested in Galaxy S23 phones, you should probably save up a bit more than you might have initially expected. That said, Samsung generally has pretty decent pre-order deals, and those might take some of the stink out of these price hikes.
