Having already welcomed the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra to our office, the time has come to complete the set with the Galaxy S23+. As we pass the phone to our review team, we thought we’d take a peek at the core member of the S23 family.

Except for a redesigned camera bump, updated Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and a modest increase in battery capacity, the Galaxy S23+ follows the formula of its predecessor. Without the contoured camera island, the rear feels more minimalistic, even stripped down. But while we have exactly the same camera setup, we hope to see an improvement in image quality enabled by the new chip and its more advanced processing.

Also new is the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 jacket that all three S23 models are wrapped in – the days of plastic backs are long gone.

Meanwhile, the 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, with Full HD+ resolution – all familiar specs.

We expect to see better performance and a marked improvement in battery life.
