Samsung introduced the Galaxy A14 5G early last month, which comes with Exynos 1330 or Dimensity 700 SoCs depending on the market. Now the company has unveiled its 4G version, which looks similar to the Galaxy A14 5G but packs different hardware.

To begin with, the Samsung Galaxy A14 4G is expected to be powered by a different chip. Samsung didn’t mention the name on its official website, but it could be the Helio G80 SoC. The refresh rate of the screen has also dropped from 90Hz to 60Hz.

While the Samsung Galaxy A14 4G sports a 13MP selfie camera like its 5G counterpart, its triple camera system on the back is different. The setup on both smartphones features a 50MP camera, joined by a 2MP macro unit, but the 2MP depth sensor on the 5G version is replaced with a 5MP ultrawide camera on the 4G model .

It’s also worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy A14 4G uses Bluetooth 5.1 instead of 5.2 and comes in a single memory configuration: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. However, it has a dedicated microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 1TB.

The rest of the highlights of the Samsung Galaxy A14 4G include a 6.6-inch FullHD+ LCD, USB-C, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging and features a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric authentication Samsung didn’t mention which version of Android the Galaxy A14 4G runs, but we’re hoping it’s the same as its 5G variant – Android 13.

Samsung has listed the Galaxy A14 4G on its Malaysian website with four color options. However, nothing is known about the price and availability.
