As is usually the case with older flagships, prices drop once their successors are launched and that’s what Samsung has done in India for its Galaxy S22 smartphones. However, only the largest and smallest of the S22 family can be purchased at a discount, while the Galaxy S22+ is discounted.
The vanilla Galaxy S22 now costs INR 57,999, while the 256GB option will set you back INR 61,999. Initially, these cost INR 72,999 and INR 76,999, but of course those were the introductory prices from a year ago.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra also sees a significant price cut, with the base model now asking INR 109,999 instead of INR 131,999.
These are the official prices on Samsung’s web store in India, but third-party resellers have even less. And as we’ve already mentioned, the S22+ is a little hard to find, suggesting that the entire S22 series will be around while supplies last and will be discontinued soon, so better hurry.
Even though it’s a year-old flagship family, the Galaxy S22 is still quite capable. Indeed, it could be argued that the new Galaxy S23 series offers a marginal upgrade at a higher cost. In addition, Samsung’s 4-year extended software support makes buying older flagships even more convincing.
