Samsung confirmed today that it will relaunch the Galaxy S21 FE in India with a new chipset. Initially launched in January 2022, the smartphone will reappear in the Asia-Pacific country with the Snapdragon 888 chipset. The platform comes with Adreno 660 GPU and Samsung has paired it with 256GB of storage.

The initial press release didn’t reveal an official launch date, but there is a link for those interested to sign up for more details when they become available.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was initially launched in India with the Exynos 2100 chipset, while other markets got the Snapdragon version. The 256GB variant was priced at ₹53,999 ($730 at that time), but currently the Exynos-powered phone costs ₹43,999 ($535) on the Samsung website.

The new version will be called Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G 2023, so you will be able to distinguish the two. The expectations are to launch with a new Navy Blue color. At the same time, the rest of the hardware features should remain unchanged: 6.4-inch 2X Dynamic AMOLED display, 12MP main camera and 4,500mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.
