There have been several leaks about the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi K60 series, but now everything is starting to fall into place. A report of My drivers suggests that the new series will be unveiled in January, probably before the Chinese New Year (January 22).

The Xiaomi Redmi K60 will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It is also expected to have a QHD+ 120Hz display and 67W fast wired charging, and for the first time on a K phone, there will be 30W wireless charging. On the back, we should see a 64 MP main camera plus an 8 MP ultra wide angle module and a 2 MP macro cam. On the front, a 16MP selfie cam.

Then there’s the so-called Redmi K60 Pro, which will have to make do with the older but still efficient Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. We’re not sure why the Pro will have a slower chipset, it’s possible that reports have turned things around in lap, then wait until you see the first benchmark lap. Either way, the Pro is expected to have a QHD+ 120Hz display.

At the bottom of the table will be the Redmi K60E: this model is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 or the upcoming Dimension 8200. The first benchmark results have emerged, confirming the Snapdragon 870 version. The K60E model is expected to have a 48MP main camera ( with OIS), based on what we’ve heard so far. This will also come with the older software: Android 12 and MIUI 13. The other two will run Android 13 and MIUI 14.

PS. based on the model names, it appears that the Poco F5 will be based on the Redmi K60 Pro – both are dubbed “Mondrian”. The K60 is “Socrates” and the K60E is “Rembrandt”.
