The Redmi Note 12 series made its European debut earlier this week and they are now marching into our office one by one. After welcoming the Redmi 12 Pro, it’s time to say goodbye to the 5G member of the Redmi Note 12 duo.

The Redmi Note 12 5G is only the second smartphone to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset and the first one we’re able to test, so it’ll be interesting to see how that chipset performs. Arguably as important as its sheer speed is how it works with the 48MP main and 8MP ultrawide cameras to maximize image quality.

The 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED screen looks very promising on paper, and we can’t wait to see how long it can stretch the 5,000mAh battery capacity. But before leaving for our laboratory, let’s do a quick unboxing.

We have the fresh Forest Green color of the Redmi Note 12, but you can also find it in cool Ice Blue and boring Onyx Grey. The box also contains the necessary 33W charger to support the phone’s maximum charging speed, a USB-C cable, and a clear plastic case.

They’re three more useful accessories than you’d find in the box of a Galaxy S23 Ultra or an iPhone 14 Pro Max, but these are the times.

With the unboxing out of the way, let’s hand the Redmi Note 12 over to our review team and see what they have to say about it. Keep watching this space!
